How did it happen that #nano is the default text editor in so many #Linux distributions? I mean, I totally get that they don't want to bother people with modal text editors (#vi et al) or #emacs, but there is, for example, #mcedit, older an
@gpowerf I concur. Also, though not initially obvious, #Midnight-Commander packs a cracking text editor - #mcedit - which has a slew of keyboard shortcuts & a menu system just like mc.
@ajayiyer I prefer #nano as well. But what about #mcedit? I like it even more lately.
