I made bagels again. I think I’m getting better at most aspects of the process. The sesame seed was a fail as most fell off when I cut them. (The “vegan” egg wash did not work.) The asiago parmesan ones are great though! #food #bagels
I made bagels today. I used a different recipe and these are huge! 115 grams each, which is a lot more than 100 grams each. (Maths!) Still perfecting the process, still delicious. 🥯 #food #bagels #baking
Here you can see the top of the bagel versus the bottom of the bagel and how many seeds I lost on the top side. (And yes, that’s an egg & cheese bagel sandwich with the vegan bagel because I’m not vegan.) #food #bagels
What “bagels” means
WikipediaA bagel is a bread roll originating in the Jewish communities of Poland. Bagels are traditionally made from yeasted wheat dough that is shaped by hand into a torus or ring, briefly boiled in water, and then baked. The result is a dense, chewy, doughy interior with a browned and sometimes crisp exterior.
